Punch Out Crew Laborer

Halifax Paving, family-owned and operated since 1955, has a proven track record of providing high-quality asphalt and site work services in the Eastern/Northern Central Florida areas. We are looking for a motivated and reliable person to fill a skilled laborer position on our Punchout Crew. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and has experience in the construction industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Moving, securing, loading, or unloading materials.
• Shoveling, raking, etc. to dig, fill and level ground.
• Effectively using heavy and light equipment, depending on the job site/assignment.
• Clean up, punch list items, etc. as needed.
• Setting up lane closures, flagging and directing traffic when necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Roller, loader, broom or skid steer experience, a plus!
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees; be a part of the team.
• Must remain flexible as specific assignments change.
• Frequently required to sit, climb, and pull/push. Occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
