The Pulp Drier Fireman position will monitor and adjust all pulp dryer controls, automation and computer systems located in the dryer control room at the factory.

Responds appropriately in case of drum fire or fire in any other related equipment.
Collects pulp samples for moisture tests.
Maintains maximum pulp dryer output.
Maintains maximum pellet production.
Communicates promptly and accurately in case of any problems or issues.
Operates within prescribed parameters on dried pulp moisture, pellet moisture and bulk density of pellets.
Makes rounds in the pulp dryers and monitors and adds lubrication to the systems as needed.
Implements emergency procedures in event of steam dryer plug, drumfire or a fire in related equipment.
Generates and prioritizes maintenance notifications.
May monitor and operate the steam dryer.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Works overtime as required.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or a GED certificate is required.
And, individuals are required to take a Mechanical Aptitude Test and Basic Skills Test to verify basic skills and knowledge.
Individuals are required to submit to and successfully pass a Safety Screen that evaluates their ability to safely execute duties and tasks of this position.
Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively and perform basic math.
Must understand and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety rules.
Must be able to reference, read and understand how to use MSDS information.
