The Orem Public Works Department is currently hiring for a Public Works Operator in the Water Distribution group. This is a full-time, benefited position working under direction of a Public Works Field Supervisor. Operators are responsible for performing specialized duties related to water system installation, repair and maintenance. This position also operates light and some heavy equipment, and a variety of hand tools related to the Water Section.
Qualifications
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- Progressively responsible relevant experience.
- Must possess and maintain the proper valid Driver License for the position.
Pay and Benefits
The current salary for Public Works Operators starts at $21.79 hourly ($45,317.66 annually) and is part of a hybrid step/career ladder program with automatic advancements based on years of service and career advancements based on meeting certain requirements.
