Public Works Employee

This full time position falls under the direct supervision of the Public Works Director or his/her designee. Pay is based on experience. This position is responsible for the general maintenance of the Town roads and streets, storm sewers, waste sites, and all public facilities including parks, boat landings, and buildings. Idividual must be able to work alone and to also supervise a crew of 4 others.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 Maintain and repair roadways as required.

 Safely operate heavy equipment and snow removal equipment including but not limited to: loader, 5 yard plow truck, pick-up truck with plow, dozer, street sweeper, bobcat, UTV, boom lift, and similar equipment

 Assigned to a plow route, perform snow removal as required.

 Perform general maintenance to

 Installation and removal of Christmas decorations

 Assist in the repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds.

 Perform other duties as assigned.

 Tree/brush removal

 Working with and placing asphalt, concrete, and fill materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $24.64 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
