Public Relations Intern

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and talented intern to join our in-house PR/Corporate Communications department. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our Senior Vice President and Manager in managing various aspects of the company's PR, corporate communications, and social media strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

Corporate Communications:

• Write and distribute interoffice communications in alignment with team goals.
• Develop, schedule, and monitor social media posts.
• Provide support for competitive analysis, including research and report development.
• Assist in coordinating meetings and events.
• Research and contribute to communications strategies related to company culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), and other internal initiatives.

PR:

• Contribute to PR writing initiatives.
• Monitor and maintain a database of press articles and other PR results.
• Assist in creating proactive pitches to reporters.

Thought Leadership:

• Project manage the thought leadership development process, including document database maintenance and distribution of completed documents.
• Coordinate logistics for speaking opportunities and thought leadership coverage.
• Stay informed on covered topic areas and identify opportunities for new topics.

Requirements:

• Strong creative writing and business writing skills.
• Excellent written grammar, proofing, and editing skills.
• Familiarity with various social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
