Public Relations Communications Manager - Remote

Join an in-house team of PR experts in one of the hottest industries with the most iconic real estate brand, Coldwell Banker.

The Public Relations Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Public Relations. The PR manager is responsible for supporting the Sr. Manager in the day-to-day oversight and management of the PR team and PR agency partners for the Coldwell Banker branded operations of Anywhere Advisors. This position assists in the development and implementation of public relations strategies to position and promote national, regional, and local metro company leadership, and affiliated sales associates to various publics. This person will ensure that content, messaging, and media placement efforts meet all brand guidelines and legal parameters.

This leader provides support to local metro company Presidents and Branch Managers as needed for media efforts that help build the image and perception of the brand locally. This role implements PR plans for the promotion of events held for sales associates such as award celebrations, office openings, fundraisers for charitable organizations, and celebratory events for developer clients such as groundbreakings, topping off ceremonies, etc. They support the implementation of crisis communications plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive public relations strategies as developed by national PR leadership to position and promote company leadership from the national, regional and local level and sales associates to support the agent value proposition.

• This includes crafting and applying such tools as press releases and crafting template messaging, media press kits for metros.
• Meet with senior leadership, sales associates, and their clients to present public relations plans and work with Sr. PR Manager to act as a liaison between media, sales associates, and senior management.
• Develop communications regarding brand news and media talking points to suit metro’s needs. This also involves spokesperson preparation and guidance for media interviews.
• Advise of potential media crises situations and manage accordingly.
• Ensure the team is providing a high level of service to the field with the creation and facilitation of media releases and advisories to targeted media.
• Prepare leadership and sales associates for interviews with coaching, talking points, backgrounders, etc.
• Ensure that media placement is supervised and shared accordingly.
• Develop relationships with media at a national level and be an advisor and strategic guide for team PR specialists when engaging media.
• Review the team’s bylined editorials and positioning statements on behalf of metro presidents and sales associates for accuracy and message consistency.
• Work with Sr. PR Manager to publicize public relations efforts and responsibilities internally to key audiences such as metro Presidents and sales associates across the organization.
• Present PR services and capabilities so that internal audiences know how best to take advantage of PR efforts and team services.
• Assist the Sr. PR Manager in supporting the media relations needs of Coldwell Banker corporate leadership and various operational departments.
• Lead team meetings and act as first point of contact when Sr. PR Manager is unavailable. Work with Anywhere Communications and Coldwell Banker Brand PR when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in communications, journalism or related field. A concentration in public relations is preferred.
• 6+ Years of experience in public relations and corporate communications in a corporate and/or agency setting.
• Must know communication planning, AP-style writing, and have strong media relationships across multiple channels.
• Team management experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and can effectively communicate across multiple platforms and to numerous constituents.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Use sound logical judgment to choose an appropriate course of action.
• Has the flexibility to change direction quickly when facts so warrant.
• Evaluate risks, consequences and interests of those affected by decisions.
• Proficient with MC Office suite of products.
• Must be proficient with media monitoring software services.
• A passion for luxury real estate, brands and lifestyle is a plus!
