As an Associate Governmental Program Analyst you will have the opportunity to:

  • Facilitate two-way communication between the public and the Department; ensures external stakeholders have opportunities to participate in DTSC's decision making process; represents the Department at public workshops, meetings and forums in-person and virtual; collaborates with DTSC staff at all levels, with responsible parties and with representatives from other local, state, and federal agencies to establish and maintains relationships that will result in effective communication and community outreach
  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of complex and comprehensive Public Participation approaches/initiatives, tailored specifically to each LABRIC (Lead-Acid Battery Recycling Facility Investigation and Cleanup) project site
  • Assist in the coordination and facilitation of in-person and virtual public meetings, hearings, workshops, open forums and other LABRIC community outreach events and activities; maintains a tracking system to document community input, questions and DTSC's responses; performs follow-up communication to ensure community concerns are addressed
  • Function as a primary member of the LABRIC project team offering consultation, recommendations, and advice for legally required and appropriate outreach and communication strategies to support the Department's goals and objectives
  • Convey technical data to the public in plain language to help ensure community members and stakeholders receive comprehensible information
