Riverside University Health System's Public Health Department, Administration Division, is seeking a qualified Public Information Specialist to join the team in Riverside.
The Public Information Specialist will answer Public Records Act requests, confer with department leadership, write press releases, and organize press conferences. The incumbent will be responsible for responding to media requests, developing department messaging strategies, and producing social media content, including writing, editing, and posting. Lastly, the Public Information Specialist will edit content from other department staff, travel to various offsite locations for events and public health emergencies, and work on special projects as needed. This position will require working after hours to attend special events as needed.
The most competitive candidates will have previous journalism and crisis communications experience, videography, photography, and supervisory or leadership experience working on Public Information projects. Being bilingual in Spanish is not required but preferred.
