Health and Human Services Department – Public Health Division
The Public Health division is seeking a professional Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Clinical Health team. This position is a full-time (37.5 hours/week), project position, housed within the Public Health Division. Job duties include serving patients of the Portland Community Free Clinic. During hours when patients are not being seen, nurses will coordinate referrals, provide case management, perform telephone intakes and triage, and partner with community healthcare and social service resources. May also be engaged in education for staff and community partners on best PUBLIC HEALTH practice, reporting and outreach.
Our ideal candidate will be passionate about healthcare for vulnerable populations of all ages, flexible, resourceful, have good decision-making skills and the ability to work independently and part of a team. This full-time position is 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible working schedule of Monday-Friday, with varying daily schedule primarily during office hours but we encourage all interested candidates to apply as alternative schedules may be permitted. BSN preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will exhibit excellent organizational, clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of satisfactory criminal background check.
This is a CEBA Union position - Grade 16M – Pay range starting $29.88/hour to $32.32/hour
