Primary purpose: Provide consulting, design, training, and development services to Lantana's client, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). Help NHSN's partner healthcare facilities submit healthcare-quality data to CDC. Create educational materials and conduct analysis to ensure that projects align with client expectations.
A successful candidate will:
- Collaborate to plan, develop, and implement projects and materials.
- Provide technical assistance and conduct outreach to healthcare facilities regarding how to submit data to NHSN.
- Develop and deliver trainings, project updates, and presentations.
- Answer end users' questions related to analytic methods, output, and end products.
- Provide results to the project team, clients, stakeholders, and partners both verbally and in writing. Report in an appropriate manner for each audience (i.e., some reports will be highly technical while other reports will be written in plain language).
- Participate in application testing and provide feedback to software developers and quality-assurance technicians.
- Analyze and understand client needs and translate them into formal requirements.
- Communicate client needs to business and technical resources.
- Develop business requirements based on industry standards.
- Exhibit attention to detail when performing data-quality checks, developing materials, reviewing documentation, troubleshooting issues, and reporting results.
- Collaborate and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to achieve analytic and programmatic goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related discipline
- Minimum of four (4) years of related experience
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to successfully complete a federal Position of Public Trust background investigation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with data on antimicrobial use, antimicrobial resistance, and Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI)
- Experience working with vaccination surveillance programs and data
- Familiarity with CDC's NHSN
- Experience developing training materials and presenting to internal and external audiences
- Experience providing user support and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Clinical Document Architecture (CDA)
