You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the COMMANDER NAVY CLOSURE TASK FORCE - RED HILL of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII.
Salary range:
GS-13: $102,444 - $133,176 per annum
GS-14: $121,059 - $157,373 per annumQualifications: GS-14: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advises agency representatives of PUBLIC AFFAIRS matters, programs, and policies that have local, regional, national, and international impact; 2) Serves as a technical authority regarding command programs as they relate to community relations, civic and media outreach, public information and special events, environmental programs, crisis communication, operational planning and program evaluation; 3) develop and maintain rapport and professional relationships with representatives of local, regional, national and international news media organizations; and 4) Oversees execution of PA financial controls throughout the fiscal year and ensures all appropriated funding is executed (obligated) are within prescribed timelines. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying communication principles, methods, practices, techniques and analytical methods, interpersonal skills, and approaches to plan, integrate and assess broad and complex communication efforts; 2) Planning, organizing and coordinating wide-ranging and time-sensitive public communication efforts concerning organizational programs, operations, activities, projects, research, studies or missions; and 3) Analyzing complex aspects of an organization's communication objectives.
