To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each of the below duties satisfactorily. Duties may include any or all the following, depending on the specific assignment. Specific duties will be identified by the Supervisor for each work assignment.
- Academic advising for MHA and MPH students.
- Provide educational guidance and assistance for students by planning schedules, recommending courses, and determining appropriate education solutions for different types of students.
- Follow through and track the advancement of students.
- Assist students in course registration.
- Assist with providing counseling for students working with difficult courses or life challenges that may interrupt degree completion.
- Provide written documentation upon request.
- Transfer necessary documents to different departments, schools, or districts upon request.
- Effectively communicate institutional standards for graduation.
- Maintain current census and student records.
- Assist Program Director in course preparation (i.e. Canvas prep, instructor prep, etc)
- Assist Program Director in gathering data for accreditation reports (CAHME and CEPH).
- Assist Program Director with recruiting and orientating new students.
BA or equivalent; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
