Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to administer and score psychological test batteries used to evaluate cognitive, neuropsychological, behavioral and emotional status of eligible clients.
Experience and interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disorders is highly preferred, and priority is being given to individuals who have been trained in the ADOS-2. The position will include a variety of opportunities; including children, adolescents and adults, with a variety of presentations including ASD, mood disorders, anxiety, personality differences, as well as emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform psychological and neuropsychological testing protocols on clients referred for evaluation of mental and behavioral health problems under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist
- Adapt the administration of the test to the specific needs of each client while staying within the standardized procedures set forth for each specific test
- Generate test results scores and data; report behavioral observations about the testing interaction with clients; observe, monitor and provide encouragement as necessary regarding the motivation and ability levels of clients in relation to procedures needed to complete testing
- Participate and assist, when requested, in the selection of the test to be administered.
- Assist with report writing
- Possess experience or familiarity with administering and scoring neuropsychological assessments (such as DWSMB, DKEFS, WISC, WAIS, NEPSY, PAI, MMPI, KBIT, etc.) and/or academic, career, assessments
- Score administered measures and document
- Psychotherapy opportunity is available for the qualified candidate
The ideal candidate needs to have strong time management skills, is highly organized and interact well with diverse client populations: children, adolescents and adults. Supervisory hours are available as needed. Two years prior testing and therapy experience is ideal but is not a requirement.
- Psychology Licensed (Preferred)
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (Preferred)
