Shoreline Psychological Services, LLC, is a private practice providing psychological services to a broad range of clients. We specialize in diagnostic assessment services. The main office is located in St. Petersburg, Florida with several satellite offices in the region.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The position involves assisting licensed clinical psychologists with testing and assessment in a busy private practice. As a trainee psychometrist, you will learn to assist in administering psychological tests and measures under close clinical supervision. This would be an ideal position for someone who has completed a BA or BS in psychology and is interested in eventually pursuing graduate education in psychology. It requires a basic understanding of statistics.
Initial training on the administration of psychological measures and other job duties will be provided by Shoreline Psychological Services while you are a salaried trainee. Upon successful completion of training, and demonstration of skills as a trained psychometrist, you will be eligible for promotion into the full psychometrist position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field.
* Background: Must have a background indicating responsibility, good boundaries, and good judgment. A Level 2 Background Screening for criminal offenses is required prior to starting work. Due to the sensitive nature of the work and contact with vulnerable clients, criminal history will be disqualifying.
* Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in data entry and standard computer-based applications is required.
* Able to learn quickly and understand basic psychological/statistical information
* Good boundaries with clients.
* Good judgment regarding personal information and confidential materials.
* Flexible and able to multi-task
* Strong time management skills and attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal skills (able to work with people of varying backgrounds and ages)
* Academically inclined
Travel: Travel with a psychologist to testing sites within a 2-hour radius of St. Petersburg, Florida is required.
