Birmingham Neuropsychology is a multi-specialty group of counselors and psychologists and neuropsychologists

Description: Excellent opportunity to gain experience working in the psychology field with children, adults, and families that have psychological or neuropsychological issues. The ideal applicant would be organized, enjoy helping people on the phone and in person, and enjoy working with psychologists and social workers. We are looking for someone that is pleasant and personable. Our office has psychologists, neuropsychologists and 1 social worker. Our team is a close-knit group of caring individuals, working together to take care of our patients in the best possible ways. Providers are seeing most patients remotely.

Responsibilities: Scheduling patients, collecting copays, talking to patients in person and on the phone, talking to insurance companies for pre-certification, verifying demographics and insurance coverage, interacting with psychologists and social workers, and coordinating with a remote billing company.

• All current staff and doctors are vaccinated.
• Covid-19 full vaccination is required for new employees
• Masks are optional for patients and staff.
• Glass window separates Receptionist work area from Patients
• Reduced Chairs in waiting Room

Preferred:

• One year experience working in a medical, psychologist, psychiatrist, mental health, office setting, or working in a call center.

Minimum job requirements:

• Good typical office computer skills, including E-mail, Google chrome, Microsoft Word.
• High school diploma

Hours:

• Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, but may leave after last patient checks in.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
