Description
The Position:
The Testing Licensed Psychologist reports to the Director of Psychological Testing. This position includes completing all phases of the psychological testing process from the Initial Testing consultation, completing prior authorization for testing, administration, scoring , and interpretation of psychological testing, writing a psychological testing report that includes recommendations related to the referral concern and related test results, and conducting the follow up session in which testing results are reviewed. Other duties may include providing intermittent administrative supervision, clinical supervision, program development, and didactics as needed and assigned within the clinic's training program.
Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • The provision of psychological testing services with children, adolescents, and adults for a variety of referral concerns related to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, some learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and diagnostic clarification. The clinic does not conduct ordered or forensic testing, eating disorder evaluations, psychosexual evaluations, parenting assessments, or fitness for duty evaluations.
  • Conducting intermittent didactic trainings within the clinic's training program as assigned
  • Assist a multidisciplinary team providing outreach, training, and public relations to internal and community partners related the clinic's psychotherapy and evaluation programs
  • Reviewing supervisees' documentation and taking responsibility for any corresponding billing (as credentials allow)
  • Ensuring such documentation is consistent with managed care contracts and the professional standard
  • Attending and participating in monthly case consultation, Grand Rounds, business meetings, and other meetings as required
  • Compliance with clinic documentation standards
  • Compliance with licensing board rules, applicable laws, and APA Code of Ethics
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with staff, patients, and business associates of clinic
  • Keeping abreast of billing issues and discussing same with patients as directed
  • Assisting in intermittent peer reviews of patient files
  • Adherence to directives by Leadership Team and other duties as assigned
  • Participating in team-oriented clinical outcomes studies as assigned

Requirements
  • A doctoral degree in psychology from an APA accredited academic program
  • Full, unrestricted licensure as a psychologist in Minnesota
  • Evidence of formal, doctoral-level coursework in: lifespan development, psychological assessment, psychometrics/statistics
  • At least 2 years providing clinical supervision (preferred)
  • Willingness to operate within managed care provider networks and complete require prior authorization forms as needed
  • Flexibility to meet when patients are available to meet

Other Requirements
  • Well-defined psychotherapeutic and supervisory theoretical orientations that are based on science
  • Ability to utilize empirically validated psychological assessment instruments
  • Strong clinical acumen
  • Ability to conduct and supervise psychological testing with adults as credentials and clinical competence allow
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to provide services to children, adolescents and adults
  • Ability to respect diversity and integrate issues of culture into case conceptualizations
  • Ability to engage with patients who may be ambivalent about treatment
  • Ability to adapt interventions to patients' strengths, skills, and developmental levels
  • Ability to intervene decisively, when necessary, to protect patient safety
  • Ability to set appropriate boundaries and limits for best practice
  • Ability to comply with clinic documentation standards
  • Working knowledge of Child Protective Services reporting requirements

Salary Description
$106,000 - 125,000 per year
