AMHC is looking for a Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist practices as a generalist and is responsible for providing mental health and substance abuse assessment, treatment, consultation, and educational services as a member of a multidisciplinary professional service team within the geographic service area to which he/she is assigned through AMHC Outpatient Offices and Specialty Service Sites, and other community service locations as may be requested. The chosen candidate will be expected to demonstrate the core values of AMHC by showing Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Service, Collaboration, and Respect to co-workers, clients, and community members.
Qualifications:
- A State of Maine Psychiatric License is required
- Board Certification or eligibility is required
Responsibilities & Expectations :
- Assisting in the assessment of areas of service needs related to AMHC's provision and continuing development of mental health, substance abuse, and other related services with Compassion and Respect.
- Assisting in the Collaboration and development of community support for AMHC service programs and cooperative working relationships with allied healthcare and social service providers (i.e. hospitals, nursing homes, private practitioners, etc.), and law enforcement agencies throughout the community demonstrating the Integrity of the agency.
- Demonstrate the Excellence offered at AMHC by providing direct psychiatric services (i.e., evaluation and assessment, medication review and management, consultation, individual/group/family therapy, professional in-service training, and community education services, etc.) at a rate that achieves or exceeds the AMHC minimum direct service standard as established annually for Staff Psychiatrist.
