Psychiatrist Job Description

The primary purpose of the Psychiatrist position is to provide outstanding clinical care to kids, adolescents, and adults at Brave in our Columbia, MO office and to future satellite locations, including telehealth. The psychiatrist will collaborate and coordinate care with our psychiatrist, therapists, and staff to ensure the care and well-being of our clients. When a patient/client needs additional services such as counseling, the psychiatrist will refer them to our clinicians at Brave to provide care and/or appropriate referrals.

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours a week)

Qualifications:

• Doctoral Degree in psychiatry: MD or DO and BC/BE in psychiatry
• Active, unrestricted license in the State of Missouri (must be fully licensed).
• DEA certified
• Board Certified

Other Qualification Preferences:

• Prior experience in a private practice setting.
• At least three years of experience post-residency.
• Have training and experience working with Neurodivergence / ADHD, PTSD/Trauma, Anxiety & Panic, Depression/Bipolar & Mood Disorders, and Women’s Issues.
• Experience and enjoyment in supervising PAs and NPs in collaborative agreement (will be compensated for this service).

Schedule & Hours:

We will help you to determine a schedule that works with your work-life balance needs. Productivity expectation of 30 billable hours per week. Hours of operation are Monday through Sunday, 8 AM to 10 PM with a minimum of 15 hours of those held during “peak hours” (defined as Monday through Friday between 4 pm to 9 pm or Weekends). Periodically, employees may be asked to flex their work hours to evenings or weekends to accommodate special events.

Location: The primary office location will be at our office in Columbia, MO. Telehealth and virtual meetings will be held as needed. Employees will be expected to be on-site whether providing in-person or virtual care.
