Job description

Quality Response Medical Staffing is looking for a psychiatrist to join our team! This is for a contract/agency position at a State Facility in Austin Texas (Local Candidates only).

Responsibility of Psychiatrist will be to provide clinical care to individuals with intellectual disabilities in need of psychiatric services in tandem with a group of staff and fellow professionals. Administers quality and appropriate specialized psychiatric treatments, assessments, and procedures as needed. Reviews and analyzes system data to ensure treatment plans are individualized and decisions are made in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).

Details:

• Hours/Days: 40 hours per week. Will consider Monday to Friday 8-hour days vs Tuesday to Friday or Monday to Thursday 10-hour days. No required on-call.
• Term: Immediate Start. 3-to-6-month contracts with option to extend
• Location: Austin Texas (Living Facility)
• Weekly Pay

Requirements:

• Must be a Licensed Physician in the State of Texas
• Provides direct patient care, psychiatric assessments and treatment, face to face evaluations, responds to all emergency calls and restraints.
• Working knowledge of Texas mental health code and testify in court as needed.
• Work with dually diagnosed adult patients, mental health, in a residential section, not outpatient clinic.
• Abide with agency attendance and leave policy and abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of Facility and performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, or Registration required: (All certifications must be current and remain as such while providing services at the Facility)

• Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry
• Must have current registration certificates from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Texas Department of Public Safety Controlled Substance BoardActive US Dept of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification
• Experience in psychiatric work. Graduation from an accredited college of medicine with a degree as a medical doctor and residency in the psychiatry field.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $277,940.00 - $296,784.00 per year
