Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner=PMHNP-BC, to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. Position is fully remote and has a 20 hour minimum per week availabilility requirement. Position has the possibility of 40 or more hours per week depending on your needs and the patient caseload as it grows. As a Psychiatric NP, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to patients with mental health conditions. Your expertise and compassion will contribute to the overall well-being and recovery of our patients.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness
- Monitor and assess patients' physical and mental health status
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families
- Assist in crisis intervention
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in New York State
- Proven experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitoner=PMHNP-BC
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, medications, and treatment modalities
- Proficient in medical documentation and electronic health record systems (e.g., Simple Practice)
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding system
- Experience working with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $160.00 per hour
