SalaryThe Counseling Center of New Smyrna Beach is a Psychiatric and Mental Health Office in Historic Downtown New Smyrna Florida, located right across the street from City Hall.
The Counseling Center of New Smyrna Beach is hiring for a Medical / Mental Health Phone Intake Specialist / Receptionist position.
Pay Rate: $16.00 to $18.00 an hour depending upon experience.
Hours: 40 a week, working between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday.

Applicant should have a working knowledge of a medical office including; phones, scheduling, billing, coding, insurance verification, customer service, urine samples, medication refills, preauthorization of visits and medications, collection of money, medical software and Hippa.
Applicant should have an understanding of psychology and working with Mental Health patients and possess a positive attitude. Applicant should also be a self starter, motivated, detail oriented, kind and friendly.
Applicant will be working with a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Psychologist, Mental Health Counselors and Social Workers. It is a very busy office but the applicant will be a part of a team with other office workers. The office environment is important and a feeling of calmness, peace and purpose is what we try to achieve.
We have been voted the Best Counseling Center in Volusia County on several occasions.
Requirements: High School Diploma and experience in a medical office or a degree / certificate in a related medical office field.
