POSITION: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
DEPARTMENT: Clinic
HOURS: Full-time/Exempt
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders of individuals through interview, assessment, observation and screening tools in order for formulate a course of Psychiatric Mental Health treatment; make appropriate referrals; and provide treatment though direct clinical services,
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Fully licensed in Minnesota BE/BC, unencumbered DEA.
- Current unrestricted Driver's License
- Maintain appropriate licensure, including completing continuing education licensing requirements
- Experience as a PMHNP preferred.
SKILL(S):
- Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication with an emphasis on clarity and compassion
- Knowledge and experience with using Electronic Record Management systems (EMRs); Epic is desirable
- Strong work ethic and compassionate listener
- Possesses a positive, helpful attitude
- Displays superior patience & understanding
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
EXPERIENCE:
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner experience preferred.
