Prss/ Family Support Provider - Pauls Valley

• Under general supervision, the Family Support Provider(FSP) is to provide targeted support services, which includes providing a system of care that is child-centered with the needs of the child and family dictating the types and mix of services provided in order to assist in keeping the family together and preventing an out-of-home placement. The FSP will work with children in their homes and communities, incorporating the entire family in the wraparound process and focus on their strengths an well as the child's age and cultural heritage.

• The FSP will advocate for families in the program, provide linkage with needed community resources, assist in treatment and education to families, and provide crisis support and safety planning under the clinical supervision of licensed staff.

• The FSP actively participates in the wraparound process with child/youth and family team to keep children/youth in the home and avoid out of home placements by supporting implementation of the phases and activities of wraparound. Ensures the team is moving the children, youth and family toward long-term stability through the wraparound process. Carries a caseload involving highly complex and difficult situations requiring the coordination of services through the wraparound process as well as respects the integrity and confidentiality of the persons receiving wraparound services.

• The FSP empowers the child, youth and family through general modeling, advocacy, coaching, follow up and support as well as teaches the child ,youth and family how to effectively advocate withing various child-serving agencies to included DHS, Juvenile Justice and the education system. Must complete and maintain all records in a timely manner as required by agency, state or federal funding sources and accreditation authorities.

• The FSP  participates in training/workshops related to the wraparound process and in expanding knowledge base in children's mental health. Actively participates in team meetings, clinical consultations, group and individual supervisions/coaching.

Qualifications:

•  Must have a high school diploma or GED or an equivalent competency.
• Must acquire and maintain within three (3) months of start date, specialized training and; or certification in mental health services or related field as required in order to meet requirements for billable services and/or adjunctive services (i.e. Oklahoma Dept of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Wrap 101 Training and ODMHSAS Family Support Provider Training).
•  Must have reliable transportation, personal automobile insurance and maintain a valid driver's license.
•  Must be 21 years of older.
• Must be able to climb stairs and access non-handicap accessible equipped residences/facilities.
• Must have direct experience raising or living with a child who has emotional or behavioral issues.
•  Previous experience in the mental health field, preferred.
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
