Great Plains Communications is looking for an experienced Provisioning Specialist to join our growing team.
The position will require in-office training for at least 3 weeks either in Sunman, Indiana or Blair, NE and then can be hybrid remote but must be within driving distance to Chadron, Blair, Kearney or Sunman, IN for training purposes.
This position will work a service order and provisions service for voice, internet, wireless, and video customers. Maintains Internet customer contact and database information. Serves as the escalation point for Customer Response Representatives and Broadband Technicians and assists with Tier 2 trouble shooting of internet, voice, wireless, IP video and home security services, as needed. Identifies areas for improvement in Provisioning and gives feedback to supervisor.
Duties include:
¨ Processes all orders created by the Customer Service Department in NISC (GPC’s billing and ticketing system).
¨ Provides end-to-end resolution of all provisioning tickets.
¨ Porting processing and working with outside vendors along with other telecommunications companies.
¨ When necessary, answers customer questions pertaining to new orders or services.
¨ Monitors ticket close times to ensure due dates are met.
¨ Follows appropriate processes for documentation, assignment, escalation and tracking.
¨ Answers calls and interacts with all customers in a friendly and professional manner.
¨ Obtains provisioning tasks through the project management workflow and does provisioning activities.
¨ Works orders for non-pay disconnects and re connecting of services.
¨ Interacts with GPC employees to provide excellent and timely service.
¨ Coordinates order assignment and fulfillment throughout multiple departments.
¨ Works with District Managers, Broadband Technicians, Central Office Technicians and CRC to ensure services are provisioned and working for our customers.
¨ Ensures closure of all internally generated and routed service orders/tickets
¨ Occasional overtime and work outside of normal shift may be required for service migrations. This job also requires working one Saturday a month rotating amongst the team.
Successful candidate will have 2 years’ experience with Internet-related computing systems (PCs and servers) and IP networks and experience in a multi-faceted network (Voice, Video, Data) along with 6+ months experience in a customer service environment.
