Property Book Supply Technician
Responsibilities: Penobscot Support Services is hiring a Property Book Supply Technician who shall be responsible for ensuring all requirements under the Property Book PWS task order are accomplished. The Property Book Supply Technician shall use government systems such as Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), FEDLOG, AESIP, GFEBS, and LIW to perform a variety of supply functions dealing with the DEVCOM CBC Property Book Office. The candidate will be hands-on and hold collateral duties in service of the scope of work.
The Property Book Supply Technician will report directly to the Property Book and Supply Operations Lead, performing the functions outlined below:
- Assist Property Team with generating and managing the Custodian Hand Receipts of approximately 1000 hand receipt holders from DEVCOM HQ and DEVCOM CBC.
- Maintain, generate, process and prepare accurate and timely posting of new receipts, inventories, and DOD forms; DA 4949, DA 2765, DA3161, DA 2062, DA 2064, DA 1687 along with other purchasing documents according to Army regulations, procedures and policies.
- Research equipment information using receipt invoices, contracts, internet, contacting vendors and end users to verify property data for taking accountability of new property receipts.
- Process stock number requests through the Army Enterprise Portal AESIP website.
· Maintain spreadsheets and database program reports capturing accurate inventory stats and/or data.
- Provide assistance and support to customers via phone, email, or MS Teams for a variety of supply/property book actions.
- Maintain document registers for DODAAC’s W589CV, W58EKR and W91P1B, reconciling hard card order DA 2765-1 issues with item managers as need to ensure orders are received.
- Perform physical inventories with customer for verification of property records.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Working familiarity/ knowledge of systems which include: Defense property accountability system (DPAS), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW) parts tracker, Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP) and FEDLOG.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
· Strong communication skills (active listening, written & verbal).
· Capability to develop and maintain excellent customer relationships and foster a cohesive working environment with fellow team members.
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently, as well as within a team environment, to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
· Excellent customer service and organizational skills; attention to detail a must.
· Ability to sit and remain focused on a computer for long periods of time.
· Computer internet research experience and typing of 30 WPM required.
· Experience with Adobe Pro and MS Teams preferred.
Requirements: The Property Book Supply Technician shall be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with property accountability systems, government supply regulations, DPAS, Adobe Pro and MS Teams a plus. Strong software skills, ability to learn quickly and adapt to procedure changes in a fast paced environment.
