Job description

As part of the NPH Team, the Property Engineer contributes to an excellent guest experience by
performing basic repairs and addressing guest needs in a timely and supportive manner.
Essential Functions:
• Follows guest room preventive maintenance checklist
• Completes room preventive maintenance and ensures that on completion the room is
clean and all materials removed
• Performs basic repairs including but not limited to replacing light fixtures, repairing
grout, caulking, tightening loose toilet seats, performing minor plumbing/electrical
repair, painting or wall repairs
• Interacts with guests and addresses guest needs in a timely and supportive manner
• Reports any serious maintenance issues, findings or safety issues immediately to the
manager/ supervisor
• Complies with quality assurance expectations and standards
Supervisory Responsibility:
None
Work Environment: This role requires work both indoors and outdoors, may require work in
confined spaces and in potentially hazardous conditions such as working on electrical
equipment.

Requirements:
• Min High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in general repair and maintenance of HVAC and other mechanical equipment;
knowledge of general maintenance skills: eg: carpentry, painting; pool certification desired

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability
to occasionally lift or transfer office products and supplies, up to 100 pounds; using safe lifting
and transfer practices. Frequent bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, walking and standing.
