Job Description
Day to day this person will:
Assist in maintaining all lease related charges in accounting software, including base rent, CAM, real estate tax, insurance and marketing charges with escalations as defined in respective leases. Coordinate with lease administration and SVP of Property Management to ensure accounting software produces accurate lease profiles and rent rolls. Post monthly charges and prepare monthly billing statements, as necessary.
Review property level financial statements on a monthly basis to ensure accurate accounts receivable and accounts payable, expense accruals, etc. and perform variance analyses.
Review all invoicing and payables for properties - Ensure the accuracy and propriety of all financial data and reports.
Assist with reviewing and posting daily cash receipts as needed. Ensure property accounts payable is properly approved; review and post bi-monthly accounts payable invoices. Monitor property cash flow and communicate with Controller to ensure timely processing of A/P.
Maintain internal accounting work papers, perform general ledger account analysis and post monthly journal entries. Maintain fixed asset accounting records and reconcile to general ledger.
Prepare year-end expense reimbursement reconciliations for various properties. Handle tenant inquiries regarding account status and assist SVP of Property Management with the collection of past due rents.
Assist SVP of Property Management in the preparation of annual operating budget and mid-year reforecast. Coordinate with SVP Property Management and assist in preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly operating reports, including executive summary and variance analysis.
Respond to various financial inquiries from auditors, general managers and ownership.
Read and interpret lease verbiage as it relates to CAM and real estate tax provisions.
Lead multiple accounting and reporting projects by collaborating with team members, property and asset managers, and other departments.
Assist in preparation of audit and review work papers for internal and external audits.
Experience and Education requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline
•Real Estate/Property Accounting industry experience high desired, but at least 3 years of experience in accounting is required.

•Strong Excel skills
•Must be detail oriented and a team player

- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required
- Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
