Proofreader

Responsibilities:

- Review and proofread various types of written materials, including proposals, articles, reports, and marketing materials
- Ensure accuracy in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting
- Fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility
- Collaborate with writers and editors to improve the overall quality of written content
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving clarity, coherence, and readability
- Maintain consistency in style, tone, and voice across different documents
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Skills:

- Excellent written communication skills with a strong command of the English language
- Proficiency in word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word)
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for spotting errors
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
- Knowledge of different writing styles and formats (e.g., AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style)
- Familiarity with technical writing principles and practices
- Experience in copy editing and copywriting is a plus
