Form of workCUMULUS MEDIA WASHINGTON DC is in search of energetic, and hard-working PART TIME PROMOTIONS ASSISTANTS to join our Promotions and Marketing Department as a brand ambassador representing the WMAL 105.9 FM and ESPN 630 DC brands. CUMULUS MEDIA WASHINGTON DC is currently home to two active news/talk brands broadcasting to the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area: WMAL 105.9 FM – Where Washington Comes To Talk, and WSBN-AM – ESPN 630 DC – The Sports Capitol. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out assigned on-site appearances and remote broadcasts, promotional activities, and special projects.
- Represent stations in an upbeat, outgoing, and friendly manner.
- Execute proper technical and physical set-up and breakdown of station events and on-site appearances – including driving station vehicles to and from events, setting up promotional equipment, and signage.
- General interaction with clients, listeners, and co-workers.
- Taking photographs to document each appearance for the station websites and social media accounts.
- Maintain storage and inventory of station equipment and promotional supplies.
- Assist with vehicle inspections, fuel, and coordination of maintenance.
- Other marketing and promotional duties as assigned by the Marketing Director.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing & execution of promotional events and digital campaigns
- Execute proper technical and physical set-up and breakdown of remote broadcasts and station events; ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the fly
- Represent stations at events in an upbeat, outgoing and friendly manner
- Data Entry of Promotional events and contesting
- Create e-blasts, social media posts & website posts; review promotional information and graphics
- Inventory and maintenance of prize closet, calendars, events for current and upcoming promotions
- Assisting the Promotions and Marketing Department with projects as needed in the office
- Assist with vehicle inspections, fuel and coordinating maintenance
- Ability to drive station vehicles with attached trailer
- Maintain and storage of station equipment
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Must be organized, and detail oriented.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must have a positive and energetic personality and be willing to go the extra mile.
- Must be able to work independently – including troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and handle pressure, adversity, and deadlines.
- Strong social media skills with sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and SocialBakers preferred.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule – including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- No experience necessary, however Customer Service experience helpful
- Some college but not required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable; have a flexible schedule and be available to work at least 15 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- May require lifting or moving up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented and responsible
- Proficient using computers and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Event experience a plus
