We are looking to hire a mid-level professional with 3+ years of experience to work with the Transportation group in our Meriden, CT office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with engineering analysis tasks, such as traffic analysis; traffic signal sequencing, phasing and timing; traffic data collection; technical reports; and traffic modeling and simulation
- Prepare engineering plans including traffic signal design; intersection geometrics including Complete Streets principles; pavement markings and signage; and temporary traffic control and construction staging plans
- Assist in preparation of contract documents, including plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
- Provide responsive client service and strong communication, both internally and externally
- Prepare materials and attend project related meetings outside of the office with clients, agencies, and the public
- Maintain organized project files
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant Traffic/Transportation experience for consultants or DOT/Municipalities
- Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD) is required
- Experience with Vissim and Synchro preferred
- Knowledge of / experience with traffic impact studies, corridor design, signal design, and signing / pavement marking
