Job description

Equipment Maintenance Sr. Technician (I.C.) 2nd Shift (Monday through Friday Schedule 2:30pm - 11:00 pm)

 

 

An individual who assists in laboratory, research, or analytical work under direction or supervision of scientific personnel. Operates highly technical experimental apparatus. May direct and train technicians of lower grade. Has understanding of the theoretical aspects of the experiments. Has demonstrated outstanding skill and performance in the particular field of activity. Requires little or no supervision.

 

Candidate will work in the class 10 clean room of the Microelectronics Laboratory supporting a broad range of activities in the Advanced Technology Division manufacturing deep submicron devices, charge-coupled devices, and micro mechanical structures. Primary responsibility will be to perform corrective and preventive maintenance of highly complex semiconductor fabrication equipment. The goal of the candidate is to ensure a high level of equipment availability to ensure program work is produced with excellent quality and low cycle time. Candidate will also be responsible for maintaining gas delivery systems, pumps supporting process equipment and will provide support for upgrades and installation of new equipment. Must be able to effectively work on multiple tasks or tools simultaneously. May direct or train technicians of lower grade and requires little to no supervision.

 

Qualifications

 

Education: Graduation from a two-year technical school or its equivalent and a minimum of five years of experience repairing and maintaining semiconductor process equipment is required.

 

Experience:

Previous experience in repairing photolithography, etch, CVD, ion implant, PVD or diffusion furnaces required.

Candidate should have at least five years of experience repairing semiconductor processing equipment.
Experience working with high voltage, lasers, pneumatics, vacuum systems and gas delivery systems is a plus.

Previous experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance is preferred.

 

Skills:
Candidate should be well organized, detail oriented, and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to troubleshoot and identify root cause of equipment problems.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a solid work ethic.
Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills

The candidate will document equipment maintenance via MES system.

Reliable (Solid attendance)

Maintain a variety of semiconductor processing equipment.
Understand equipment operation and be able to identify potential problems with the equipment through observation and if required, escalate resolution to the next level.
