Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage a diverse team of Sierra7, other contractors and client staff to deliver results on time with high quality
- Able to actively lead and manage all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation through closure, including project planning, project execution, risk management, and tracking and reporting
- Deliver project requirements on time, with quality results that meet or exceed expectations
- Develop detailed project schedules (MS Project; Primavera), estimates, and resource plans
- Produce and deliver detailed status reports and briefings, along with periodic demonstrations of developed capability, to document and demonstrate project progress
- Proactively manage scope, actions, issues, and risks to ensure project success. Follow change control procedures effectively.
- Provide meeting planning and facilitation, including project team meetings, document reviews, and client-driven meetings (e.g., Integrated Project Team (IPTs) meetings). Prepare meeting minutes and track action items.
- Proactively manage risk, issues, and opportunities
- Coordinate and monitor timely and effective completion of actions
- Coordinate development and reviews of high-quality project deliverables using appropriate templates
- Collaborate and interface with project stakeholders, including end users, business, VA (Veterans Affairs) organizations, vendors, and service partners
- Demonstrated success as a Project Manager
- Deep, proven experience with Microsoft Project
- Proficient in project management scheduling, critical path analysis, and design and management of IMPs and IMSs
- Perform detailed schedule analysis including evaluation of the critical path, assessment of schedule risk, and conformance to the IMS Integrated Master Plan (IMP)
- Develop and deliver IMS reports including outlooks, variance reports, past-due task reports, and schedule milestone snapshots
- Experience working within a Human Centered and User Experience design a plus
- Manage all aspects of the project
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing large, diverse, virtual agile teams across multiple locations
- Experience identifying, mitigating, and managing project risks and issues
- Experience assisting in the development of project plans, responding to requests for information, and developing and presenting briefings on project status to program leadership
- Experience in creating, applying, and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, velocity, and other project metrics
- Experience developing and reviewing project documentation, such as project management plans, business / technical requirements, and other project artifacts
- Experience interfacing with senior-level stakeholder
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three (3) years of relevant experience
- Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one
