Based in West Hartford CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a ProjectScheduler, Engineering Support to join our West Hartford, CT team. The scheduler job description calls for an individual who is highly organized and understands the processes that drive new product development programs / project execution. The successful applicant will work within the New Product Introduction (NPI) Project Engineering group and is responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of multiple program schedules, supporting, and working closely with both Project Engineers and Program Managers.

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain various project schedules in Microsoft Project ensuring that documentation is accurate and timely
  • Support the use of MS Project by providing expert advice and support to others
  • Create and implement data management collection techniques using tools such as Deltek Cobra and JDE
  • Identify NPI program needs based on data collected and analyzed
  • Ensure that all changes in programs and outcomes are well documented
  • Perform data validation and implement quality control measures to ensure the continued success of programs
  • Create budgetary controls and financial management processes, as well as change management techniques.
  • Submit reports to relevant department heads and management
  • Formulate procedural manuals
  • Balance multiple projects and tasks as the norm
Qualifications

 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Firm understanding of Program Management best practices
  • Ability to understand project milestones and how to alter execution for optimal impact
  • Experience using Microsoft Project required
  • Experience using Deltek Cobra and Compass is a plus
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to calculate program statistics like Cost Performance Index (CPI), Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Estimate to Complete (ETC)
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology
  • Proficiency in mathematics with the skill to translate complex mathematical information into understandable reports
  • Strong communications and presentation skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
