Job Description


As the Project One Operations Lead in the Expansion Function, you'll be instrumental in driving the successful rollout and optimization of the Store SmartStore technology within our retail stores across Canada and future sales markets. You'll lead the rollout, ensuring seamless implementation, colleague training, incident management, change management, and overall operational excellence. This role demands a blend of operational expertise, technological proficiency, strong leadership skills, and a focus on change management. Additionally, you will be required to manage being in stores for training as the subject matter expert and planning the continuous rollout.


This hybrid role reports into our Regional Retail Tech and Operations Manager and is based out of the New York City or Toronto Support Office.


This role is a 1-year assignment project role.


A Day in the Life


Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*


  • Mastering the gStore Application: Become the primary expert on the functionality, features, and benefits of gStore RFID technology within the organization

  • Training and Development: Plan comprehensive training covering all materials to educate store teams on effectively utilizing SmartStore technology. Manage being in stores for training as the subject matter expert

  • Implementation Oversight: Together with Retail Tech Project Managers, lead the rollout of SmartStore technology across H&M stores, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption to operations

  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide timely assistance and troubleshooting support to store teams encountering issues with SmartStore technology, resolving issues promptly

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with global and local teams to address technical challenges, provide feedback for enhancements, and ensure seamless functioning of SmartStore technology

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and communicate opportunities to enhance the capabilities and effectiveness of SmartStore technology. Plan the continuous rollout

  • Change Management: Implement change management strategy set to ensure smooth adoption of SmartStore technology, fostering a culture of openness and readiness for innovation

  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Foster open communication with store teams, management, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on SmartStore technology initiatives


Qualifications


Who You Are:

  • Experience working in store operations, with a focus on store management or technology implementation

  • Proficient in learning and mastering new technologies, particularly RFID technology and its applications in retail

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programs, with strong presentation and communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee complex initiatives from planning through execution

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Experience in change management strategies and implementation

Compensation: Hiring range is $98,957 - $111,326 annually** if role is based in the New York City Support Office
