We are looking for a Project Manager for our Modesto, California office!

Summary: The Drafting Manager is not only responsible for managing a team but must demonstrate the ability to efficiently promote positive change as a leader within the organization. Manager will povide guidance on allocation of available project management and drafting resources, to match shop drawing load while providing an exceptional customer experience. Ensure that all departmental guidelines and protocols are followed with particular attention to delivering high-quality on-time inputs and ultimately raise the level of customer satisfaction through elevated levels of service across the team.

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000

• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to ensure the team is as effective as possible.Daily management of Project Management and Drafting Team.
• Develop and promote a continuous culture of customer service excellence.
• Engage with and influence the managers of other internal support services to ensure all are aligned in providing the necessary service levels to contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Ensure business rules as they pertain to the Project Management and Drafting teams are being followed, with special attention to targeted lead times and peer checking.
• Review, develop and implement best customer service practices and procedures.
• Work to continuously improve levels of communication – both internal and external – amongst the team.
• Work with Operations Team in all manufacturing facilities to consistently deliver on strict yet realistic deadlines.
• Guide Production Scheduler to minimize adverse variances through optimizing manufacturing capacity.
• Work with Commercial Team to manage price book and maintain margins.
• Provide department reports to management as necessary.
• Investigate and identify drafting warranty issues; implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Assist with the development of new processes/systems to improve support to the business.
• All other duties as directed.

Education/Experience:

• Recommended Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical degree with high drafting content.
• Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role with a focus on KPIs, mentoring and providing technical expertise.
• Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in drafting.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel and architectural drawings.
• Good communication and mathematical skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and problem solve without supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit desirable.
• Project Management experience desirable.

Computer Skills:

• Minimum 3 years AutoCAD experience; knowledge of modeling software.
• Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
• SAP and Sales Force experience desirable.
