Job Title:Project Manager - Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Location: New England & New York
Reports to: Vice President Operations
Job Summary: As an Operations Leader, you will embody a “Can do” spirit, leading the company in collaboration with the Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Presales. Your primary responsibility will be the successful execution of our standalone and co-located solar PV and battery Energy Storage system (BESS) projects in New England.
You will play a key role in overseeing project execution, ensuring technical and commercial excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Leadership: Lead your projects with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.Develop and manage a high-performing project field team focused on project execution, technical due diligence, and design optimization. Implement processes to establish an industry-leading EPC team.
Project Management: Assume responsibility for the overall execution of solar PV and BESS projects.Manage EPC budget and cost, ensuring financial efficiency.Develop and oversee project schedules and scopes of work.Provide regular project status reports and be the main POC for your project clients.
Technical & Engineering Oversight: upport value engineering efforts and manage multiple 3rd party consultants/engineers.Collaborate with the internal engineering team to develop standards.Participate in major equipment selection evaluations and 3rd Party EPC bidding.Procurement & Construction Supervision:Assist in developing procurement standards and manage major subcontractor and equipment vendor relationships.Oversee EPC contract management and coordinate with construction site teams.Interface with Interconnection Utilities and drive project closeout and turnover coordination.
Commissioning & Quality Assurance: Implement commissioning and startup standards/processes.Work closely with the EPC team to ensure high-quality project delivery.Qualifications:Proven experience in leading and managing solar PV and BESS projects.Strong understanding of EPC budgeting, cost management, and technical project development.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and guide teams.Ability to work closely with internal teams, including Finance, and support technical and commercial tasks.Effective communication and documentation skills for both internal and client-facing interactions.
