Firecracker Works is seeking a Project Managerwith demonstrable project experience and keen leadership skills to join our team and take the lead in managing the design, fabrication, and Installation of our award-winning built environments.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our projects, from onboarding clients, to devising scope, estimating timelines and cost, to leading our internal team in their fulfillment of build and Installation.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years experience managing a pipeline of installations and activations across multiple industries, including but not exclusive to, private & corporate events, product launches, experiential activations, brand activations, pop-ups, exhibitions, conferences, and permanent installations. You are decisive, agile, have a great work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Core Responsibilities of our Project Managers…
Acting as Project Lead on assigned projects, managing and leading the client through our entire creative process, from design through Fabrication and Installation
Working with our team to interpret the client’s vision and to design and deliver a build greater than they had imagined
Overseeing and guiding all internal stakeholders in the project (project coordinators, designers, construction and fabrication team members, install teams), outlining full remit of client brief and scope of work, assigning leads to project elements in order to fulfill the scope
Estimating costs across labor and materials, creating timelines, and working with clients to achieve agreement and sign-off
Post sign-off, managing the project as it enters our overall projects workflow, scheduling team member activities and materials
Monitor the ongoing progress of the project and build through design, technical design, Fabrication and Installation, communicating with all contributors throughout, anticipating and fixing any issues, highlighting and monitoring any areas of risk
Inspiring the overall team in their work towards achieving the client’s vision and your project scope, communicating the vision to all stakeholders and acting as the champion of the entire project
Oversee end-to-end project, ensuring all elements are fulfilled to Firecracker Standard
Skills, Experience and Characteristics we are seeking
Proven experience within the event or design/build industry
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Expertise in creating, interpreting & communicating a brief
Experience in creating & managing budgets within a quoting/finance software
Ability to interpret construction drawings & plans and to communicate those plans clearly
Attention to detail for both office & site work with exacting standards on finishes
Technical production knowledge
Ability to brief & manage crew, sub-contractors & suppliers
Ability to make decisions quickly and independently
Knowledge of reconciling budgets & debriefing all parties post-event
Strong work ethic

Business hours & Travel
Standards hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended business hours and weekends may/will be required on a project basis.
US-wide travel to site locations to be expected. International Travel is also possible.

This role is based out of our Los Angeles, CA 90063 Office and Workshop: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 (salary commensurate to experience)
