As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overall project management of projects which comprise complex initiatives.
Location of position: Public Buildings Service in Central Office and/or Regions 1 though 5.

The GS-11 salary range starts at $69,107 per year and varies by location.
The GS-12 salary range starts at $82,830 per year and varies by location.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
GS-11:
To qualify, you must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience utilizing project management practices and tools to manage or assist with construction and/or repair and alteration projects in a real estate environment. This experience must include:
- Managing projects (balancing scope/quality, schedule and budget) requiring the services of multiple disciplines (i.e., construction, design, IT, telecommunications, interior furnishings, etc.) from project planning phase through financial closeout;
- Interpreting customer needs and developing them into actionable requirements;
- Coordinating and balancing project plans, budgets, and schedules;
- Coordinating and facilitating decisions with multiple stakeholders;
- Applying procurement knowledge and experience to assist with managing contracts supporting assigned projects; and
- Participating in negotiations for sound real estate business transactions.
OR
You may also qualify if you have 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree if the education provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position; or if you have a combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
OR
Have a combination of graduate education and specialized experience that when combined together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
GS-12:
To qualify, you must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience utilizing project management practices and tools to simultaneously manage multiple construction and/or repair and alteration projects in a real estate environment. This experience must include:
- Managing projects (balancing scope/quality, schedule and budget) requiring the services of multiple disciplines (i.e., construction, design, IT, telecommunications, interior furnishings, etc.) from project initiation phase through financial closeout;
- Interpreting customer needs and developing them into actionable requirements;
- Developing, managing, and balancing project plans, budgets, and schedules;
- Coordinating and facilitating decisions by managing multiple stakeholders;
- Applying procurement knowledge and experience to manage contracts supporting assigned projects; and
- Negotiating sound real estate business transactions.
