Join our Water team within Flow Equipment division in United States as Project Manager - Nordic Water to help us to the next level.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Review proposals and contract documentation/specifications to develop detailed project plans and schedules
- Function as the primary post-order communication link between the company and the customer
- Continually review and communicate project plans and schedules with customers, sales channel, engineering, and operations using appropriate tools, systems, and techniques
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Prepare submittals, including producing or overseeing the production of submittal data and drawings, and act as the technical leader throughout the HFA process promptly addressing technical issues, submittal comments, and preparing resubmittals as required.
- Prepare complete and accurate order entry documentation after approval for production and procurement
- Develop and maintain project status reports for regular communication with management
- Promptly report and escalate issues/problems to management as appropriate
- Lead the resolution of technical problems that occur during production, testing, installation, and startup of equipment.
- Other responsibilities and duties may be assigned by management, including working on projects in other business segments.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- B.S. engineering, mechanical preferred, or equivalent. Significant directly related experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 3 years project execution experience in the US municipal water and wastewater equipment industry with technical knowledge of pumps, pumping systems, mechanical design, and pump control systems. Related municipal contractor or consultant experience considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Project, and 2D CAD software, 3D CAD helpful
- PMP certification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Work is generally performed in an office environment working at a desk on a computer
- Travel to other Sulzer sites, customer offices, construction sites, and suppliers may be required
- International travel may be required
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
- Typing
Location: We are based in Meriden (CT). No visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.
