Project Manager (Medical Device)

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the effective management (organization, financial/project planning, execution, control and evaluation) of all aspects of assigned projects. The Project Manager will effectively collaborate with project governance boards, communicate project status to management and provide resolution of project issues.

This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong engineering background, adept project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams to ensure the continued success and compliance of our products in the global market.
Responsibilities

• Organize a project plan (project scope, timeline, and budget) for Medical Device projects to satisfy milestones and deadlines with required actions.
• Monitor and communicate project status, plans, issues, timelines, action items, and budgets internally and externally. Recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Manage resources assigned to the project team to meet project goals/milestones. Work with management to ensure project has proper resources assigned.
• Author planning documents as required to support assigned projects.
• Provides guidance for team members in close collaboration with their direct supervisor.
• Contribute to quality, design, and development activities, or act as backup to engineers on assigned projects as required.
• Responsible for making decisions regarding the appropriate risk.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of historical databases for the purpose of tracking, trending, learning, and improving decisions regarding program performance and continuance.
• Provide project level information to the project prioritization and/or product portfolio process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• Minimum of 5 years previous experience
• Product life cycle or product development experience (preferable in a Medical Device or pharmaceutical company).
• Demonstrated experience establishing and delivering projects within a cross-functional organization.
• Knowledge in the use of project management methodologies and tools.
• Experienced in working with stakeholder to manage their expectations and engaging them to address project issues.
• Capable of managing risk to achieve business and customer objectives.
• Good communication skills, good customer relationships, leadership skills and team building competencies.

PMI, IPMA or equivalent certification preferred.

Pay: $92,000.00 - $113,500.00 per year
