Location: Nationwide, Remote Position. Preferred States: MA, PA, VA, TX, OK, CO, CA


Position Description:

SmartAcre is looking for a Project Manager to oversee all design and development projects. You will manage the projects for the design and development team to ensure all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.


Responsibilities include managing client communications, overall project strategy, updating internal and client-facing PM tools (Wrike and Basecamp), establishing effective timelines, and ensuring the proper execution of projects.


What sets this role apart from other Project Managers? We are looking for someone who can think about web, video, and creative work through the lens of demand generation. While not required, a solid background in marketing and an understanding of marketing and sales technology is important to how we approach projects.


The ideal candidate understands the big picture and can think strategically to include best practices like SEO, UX, CRO, and all things demand gen in creative projects such as website redesigns, landing page and email template designs, ad creative, video, and more.

Key Responsibilities:


Internal Meetings:

  • Manage and lead the weekly standup meeting with the design and development department.
  • Meet with all team members on a regular basis.
  • Contribute to team meetings helping determine priorities.

Client Meetings:

  • Be a leader that is highly visible with clients.
  • Coordinate and lead all client calls for projects.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Consult through analysis, tools, expertise, trend insights, and reporting of results.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities with clients.
  • Complete the web strategy document for projects.

Project Management:

  • Manage issues and risk by raising red flags early to help expand project scope/budget, if necessary.
  • Coordinate across teams/departments to plan project resources and to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Managing Wrike and Basecamp for all projects.
  • Manage day-to-day communication with clients on projects such as website redesigns, video, app development and creative.
  • Updating account forecast sheet and predicting team availability.
  • Excel in time management, crafting accurate levels of effort to properly scope and maintain a project schedule.
  • Evaluate and assess results of projects, demonstrating success.
  • Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables.

Production:

  • Manage and coordinate on-site video and photography projects.
  • Assist with content population and small web/content updates as needed.
  • Create forms in marketing automation platforms (Pardot, HubSpot, Marketo).
  • Execute on-page SEO tactics.

Review/QA:

  • Be a final set of eyes to QA all tasks before sending to the client for review.

Other:

  • Continually stay ahead of the changing digital marketing landscape, specifically project management.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in a Marketing Agency environment
  • Experience in HubSpot CMS and WordPress CMS
  • PMP or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification
  • Experience working with Wrike

Minimum Qualification & Skills:

  • 4+ years of project or account management experience (agency experience preferred).
  • Proficient in managing marketing campaigns and projects with multiple resources, stakeholders, budgets and multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to understand the technical requirements for the functionality of applications and websites.
  • Technical skills and understanding of the pieces that make up a successful website redesign and how that process is executed.
  • Firm understanding of lead and demand gen tactics including inbound marketing, content marketing, SEO, PPC, and social media.Working knowledge of marketing automation tools including HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo and Salesforce.
  • Expertise in data analysis, presentations and consultative reporting.
  • Confident problem solving, facilitation, prioritization and decision making.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects, budgets, resources, and be highly accountable.
  • Excellent communication and writing ability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance priorities across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Related degree.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Actively hold certifications in HubSpot Growth Driven Design.
  • Contribute to SmartAcre’s process for scoping and executing projects. Use knowledge to lead SmartAcre lunch and learns and to contribute new ideas to the agency.
  • Successfully lead projects from start to finish. Success is determined by projects finishing on time and on budget.
  • Keep resources effectively allocated based on SmartAcre’s forecast model.
  • Have a high customer satisfaction score (we strive for 95% or above) as a result of excellent client communication skills throughout projects.
  • Effectively use internal PM tools such as Wrike and Basecamp to delegate tasks across departments and see them through to completion.
  • Demonstrate the ability to QA and create client-ready deliverables.
  • Develop case studies to use in SmartAcre marketing based on results.
