Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Logistics Planning & Projects department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Project Manager, Logistics Planning & Projects!
The primary responsibility of this role is to study, obtain funding approvals, lead, manage and implement service parts projects.
Reporting to the Manager, Logistics Planning & Projects, the person in this role will support the Logistics Planning & Projects – Service Parts objective to launch new initiatives to improve customer service, reduce supply chain inefficiencies and enhance profitability of Parts Distribution and Accessory Division.
What you’ll be doing
Drive medium to very large-scale projects to successful completion to achieve project objectives.
Lead projects through Obeya-style and traditional Project Management processes and by working through other departments.
Project Management of cross-functional projects through Study, Business Case, Project Planning and Implementation/Stabilization Phases.
Study & Business Case: Analyze data and information, incorporating all factors to deliver a comprehensive story around customer, financial, operational and other supply chain business objectives culminating in approval to implement the Business Case.
Consensus-building through exceptional communication via visualization, verbal and written means.
Problem-solve for improved customer service and increased efficiencies and profitability.
What you bring
A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or in a related degree; and/or equivalent related work experience.
Proven experience in cross-functional Project Management leadership across an organization/business partners/3rd party providers; OR Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a simple and easy-to-understand fashion (e.g., written, verbal & through excellent visualization).
Capability for Strategic Thinking – ability to synthesize multiple sources of information and develop a clear ‘big picture view’.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple complex and fast-paced projects simultaneously.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data acquisition.
Strong planning, analytical, and quantitative skills with excellent attention to details.
Added bonus if you have
Experience in both logistics / supply chain management; AND cross-functional Project Management.
Experience in creating A3 documents.
Negotiation experience in contracts, leases, or other work-related functions
