Who are we? ARCO Murray is a full-service design/build firm, including an in-house design and engineering department (AME). Our AME team provides services including Creative Design, Project Management, ADA/Code Compliance, Building Assessment and Reuse, Addition and Renovations, Interior Design, Space Planning, Structural Analysis and Design, and Construction Administration.
AME is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager - Architect professional who is passionate about the design/build construction process and looking to join our team of experts. This position covers a wide range of project types including both interior renovations and ground up projects. This is primarily an in-office position, based out of our ARCO Murray Chicago office.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Responsible for all aspects of architectural design, ranging from concept development thru design development, construction documentation, and construction administration, although specific phases or deliverables needed vary greatly by project
  • Conduct building and ADA code research, code calculations and local zoning due diligence
  • Provide site planning, interior space planning and design development
  • Create 3D views, renders and fly-thru videos and client design presentations
  • Prepare and lead presentations and programming calls with clients
  • Work closely with clients and construction managers to develop schematic and design dev. level drawings and meet clients needs and ensure selections are within project budget
  • Coordinate with MEP and other design trades to coordinate design intent and avoid clashes
  • Be a problem solver for all things design related and work alongside construction manager on overall project management, moving the project forward, and bringing the client's vision to life
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to accomplish desired results
  • Understand design and construction costs, provide creative solutions across price points and lead the highest quality design that stays within the project budget
  • Commit to quality by self-reviewing work and ensuring it meets professional and team standards
  • Help build the AME team's capabilities, this could be enhancing Revit families, developing rendering tools, streamlining product selections... endless possibilities, what can you bring to the team?
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates, while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Architecture. Licensure a plus, but not required
  • 5-10 years of professional experience
  • Excellent programming, space planning and concept designs
  • Ability to develop preliminary designs into construction details and drawings
  • Excellent multi-tasking and project management skills
  • Experience developing presentation drawings
  • Proficient in Revit/ 3D modeling
  • Proficient in rendering software (Enscape or Lumion preferred)
  • Familiarity of construction pricing a plus
