The role will be a key liaison between cross-functional teams, maintaining stakeholder relationships and communicating project status transparently with the PMO office in Europe and to the senior management. The role necessitates travelling, predominately within the US sites for on-site support, but not limited to, with the aim of underscoring the importance of the role in aligning projects with all the BUs and stakeholders.
The main deliverables include managing the project portfolio in the TSS Operations US sites, supporting local Project Managers, and assuring that all projects follow Group standards. Provide training and support local Project Managers and in addition prepare comprehensive project plans, resource allocation, and proactive risk mitigation strategies during project execution.
The role will contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and drive successful project outcomes.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Portfolio
- Lead and oversee all aspects of running projects within the TSS Operations US manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with all the sites and cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables of projects.
- Maintain the project portfolio and report status updates to the PMO Office and senior management team
- Promote the TSS Project management culture and drive project management improvement across their area.
- Stay in regular contact with the PMO and the TSS Task Force team to receive updated training and tools and provide status and feedback.
- Be an early adopter and promoter to support local Project Managers with any updates in project management
- Be the local spokes-person for project management and ready to handle project management related Q&As
- Facilitate and run sessions to upskill local project teams on available tools
- Critically analyzing and ensuring best practices.
Project Execution & Support
- Lead and execute assigned projects
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
- Utilize strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for effective coordination.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate project status
- Interact with all the sites and business units to coordinate cross-functional project workstream teams to define detailed tasks which need to be executed during the project lifetime.
- Manage external and internal parties to make sure that all tasks are done in a timely manner and at the expected quality and cost.
- Efficiently allocate resources and monitor utilization.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and conflicts
- Manage the project budget
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or Engineering.
- Proven Project Manager experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality management would be considered an asset
