We are looking for a Project Manager I to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in Poolesville, MD.

What you will do!
In the Project Manager I role, you will use existing SOPs and quality assurance standards to oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the animal facility, to include scheduling of staff, related paperwork, cage change scheduling, and supplies. You will be asked to assist in the development of course content and training materials for the animal care staff to achieve AALAS certification. This position will also participate in interviewing applicants for open positions; developing performance improvement plans; and writing employee performance evaluations. You will also actively interact with various personnel to resolve customer requests, inquiries, and concerns.
The Project Manager I role also provides quality assurance to include animal health surveillance; monitoring of the effectiveness of facility sanitation; autoclaving procedures; monitoring of incoming animal shipments for container integrity and animal health; monitoring the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); as well as internal facility reports for monitoring deviations from pre-established parameters. You will be asked to provide animal husbandry and environmental enrichment for colony animals, as well as prepare and submit records, charts, logs, and inventories. Additional duties may include operating and maintaining equipment and supplies and performing general housekeeping.
A candidate with an AA degree in Animal Science or related field required; and a minimum one year of supervisory experience in a multi-labor-category animal facility. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education/experience listed above. AALAS certification at the LATG level required.
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - 44.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
