We are searching for a Project Industrial Engineer to join our team located in Corona, CA. The Project Industrial Engineer will be the subject matter expert and a project leader for methods, capacity, and line balance (Assembly / Manufacturing) on the Corona Campus. You will be required to work proficiently in a matrix organization with R&D, Quality, Planning, Operations and Engineering to deliver project objectives. Project work will focus on development & improvement of departments in several areas of the manufacturing processes like Mill, Paint, Buff & Polish, Sub-assembly, Fabrication, and Assembly.

 Essential Functions:

  • Lead and execute projects focused on enhancing manufacturing processes and optimizing line balance within the Corona Campus
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives, emphasizing technical efficiency while maintaining support in weekly meetings
  • Develop and manage project plans that incorporate timing, cost and risk analysis deliverables. Drive accountability for best in class manufacturing principles
  • Design intricate manufacturing layouts that prioritize safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness, utilizing precision technical plans and software proficiency while optimizing for resource utilization, ensuring they conform to technical constraints
  • Develop and manage comprehensive production process documentation, including work instructions, flow charts, and Quality Control Plans, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Conduct rigorous process optimization and stability analysis, applying statistical methods such as process capability studies (Cp, Cpk) and Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Devise and sustain efficient manufacturing routes, maximizing utilization of space and resources
  • Lead multifunctional teams in problem-solving projects, applying advanced Lean and statistical analysis tools to drive improvements. Lead training and validation of manufacturing operations, emphasizing technical skills
  • Evaluate and select machinery, equipment, tools, and materials to meet stringent technical requirements that support long term sustainability
  • Perform detailed time studies to establish precise production standards, staffing requirements, and cost analyses, updating routing in SAP for accurate data management
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure product specifications align with technical standards
  • Additional duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or equivalent engineering, with a strong emphasis on technical proficiency. Master's degree in Engineering or Business is preferred
  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a technical manufacturing engineering role
  • Proficiency in advanced Lean and Six Sigma tools, with a proven track record of applying them to drive technical improvements
  • Proficiency in leading projects and project management tools & practices
  • Ability to think creatively and provide modern solutions to historical practices. Exceptional technical problem-solving and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of technical production processes, quality control, and raw materials
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with the ability to design and understand precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Demonstrated self-development and goal-driven technical mindset are key to success in this role

"Pay scale" means the salary or hourly wage range that Fender reasonably expects to pay for this position; it is neither a promise nor a guarantee of the compensation that the successful candidate will receive.  The pay scale for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that Fender considers in making compensation decisions, including, without limitation: skill set, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.  If this is a remote position, the pay scale disclosed herein may be adjusted further based upon the applicable geographic differential associated with the location from which the successful candidate will work.  Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role - especially as a new hire - and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $60,599 to $70,653 per year.
