Essential Job Duties:Work with the NC State Study Abroad On-Site Director, Qasid staff, and other PGO staff to assist students with any issues of course placement, housing, safety concerns, physical and mental health resources, sexual harassment and assault incidents. Act as a liaison with the in-country provider, Qasid and Qasid’s staff, be an informed member of the PGO communication plan, and SAO emergency response team.

Minimum Experience/Education:The applicant must be a US citizen and hold a valid passport. Must be a high school graduate, enrolled and/or graduated from college. Applicant must have studied/lived/worked in Jordan.
Department Required Skills:Must have advanced language skills in the target language of Arabic and knowledge of Middle Eastern culture. Must be available to participate in pre-departure and post programming meeting/training. (In-person and/or remotely) Must have working knowledge of study abroad experience.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:Applicant has working knowledge to be a source of local and regional expertise. (in conjunction with the NC State Study Abroad On-Site Director), act as a liaison with the in-country provider, Qasid and Qasid’s staff, and be an informed member of the PGO communication plan and SAO emergency response team. Applicant is able to be a source of formal and informal language skills practice in preparation for required assessments. Assist the Project Coordinator in proctoring required assessments. Assist students with journaling requirements.
