Form of workProject Engineer (EIT) – Water Resources
Halff has an immediate opening for a Water Resources EIT in Houston. This position will work on H&H projects including: Master Drainage Plans, drainage impact studies, watershed planning studies, large detention basin and channel H&H analysis, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR submittals, dynamic 1D/2D modeling using HEC-RAS and XP-SWMM, and H&H modeling to support storm sewer, detention, and channel improvement projects. Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 1-5 years of experience in in H&H, floodplain analysis, and stormwater analysis
- EIT in the State of TX, or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Ability to manage a project tasks, and supervise technical staff
- Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS preferred
- 2-D H&H modeling experience preferred
- Stormwater design and CADD experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
