Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer, you will be the technical lead on aftermarket centrifugal compression projects. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with multi-disciplinary teams tackling challenging projects related to the transformation of the oil and gas industry.
- Managing the scope of complex projects, specifically ensuring the execution team delivers on the technical obligations of our contracts throughout the concept & basic engineering, detailed design, production, and field commissioning phases.
- Leading specification review and commenting during the pre-contract phase and then ensuring specification adherence throughout the actual order execution.
- Leading technical communications with Clients, including, but not limited to, scope clarifications, formal document transmittals, product design reviews, etc.
- Moderating the collaboration of multiple engineering disciplines within and outside the matrixed organization to meet project deliverables and milestones.
- Creating and maintaining the technical cadence of assigned execution project team, including red flagging and expediting resolution of unresolved technical issues for the team.
- Deciding on and ultimately overseeing when agile processes are merited to flex between “baseline processes” and “special circumstance processes” to best support project cycle time.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Aeronautical/Aerodynamic, or equivalent degrees from an ABET accredited college/university will be considered).
- An interest and competency in project execution, ability to be a team player, and an aptitude for providing leadership within a collaborative engineering team.
- Prior Project Engineering experience.
- Possess and demonstrates a high degree of tact and professionalism; capable of interacting with Management, Peers, Shop Personnel, and Clients.
- Experience with rotating machinery, preferably centrifugal compressors.
- Broad technical background, high attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in SAP , Siemens Nx and PLM
- A nimble, flexible, adaptable, creative, and resilient mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively and individually with the same enthusiasm and intensity.
- Good computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power-Point) and basic 2D/3D CAD.
