Job Description
Responsibilities
- Land development engineering design and production including grading, site layout, water, sewer plans, and storm/detention pond plans for residential subdivisions & commercial developments. Applicable reports, calculations, and modeling programs.
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating the work of the project team, including the coordination of the project with the review agencies
- Carrying out and completing multiple project assignments through all project phases.
- Assists in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multifamily developments, and public works projects.
- Review work from peers to ensure sound and accurate designs, plans, and reports that meet all applicable criteria, client or project goals, and the high standard of quality that JR demands.
- Provide meaningful direction, training, and guidance to younger staff to grow their knowledge and tool sets to build a strong team atmosphere and working relationships.
- Proven ability serving as the liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and other consultants on the project team.
- Efficient time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal / written communication skills. Strong planning / organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of civil engineering experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- PE License Preferred, EIT Required.
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Broad multi-disciplinary knowledge in civil engineering including land development, transportation, water resources, wastewater, structural, and geotechnical topics
- Strong technical knowledge with hydrology, hydraulics, utility design and associated modeling software (StormCAD, CUHP, EPA SWMM, and HEC-RAS experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution, analytical, and time and resource management skills.
- Knowledge ofCentennial orColorado Springs & surrounding jurisdictional approval process is a plus.
